Why is there a transaction fee and who is AgTransact?
  • The transaction between seller and buyer is covered by our escrow product called AgTransact which is powered by Tradsafe with management oversight by Standard Bank. AgTransact ensures that each seller and buyer is protected in the transaction, Allowing each of the parties to be happy before funds are released. We also offer an escalation service should you not be happy with the transaction.
How does the transaction fee work?
  • 2% excl. VAT of the transaction total cost will be deducted from the winning bid which is for the sellers account.
What payment methods are accepted?
  • EFT (Electronic Fee Transfer)
Who is responsible for the transport of goods?
  • The buyer is responsible for transport and transport insurance of goods.
What guarantee do I have that I will receive the money for my goods?
  • The buyer pays into an escrow account with AgTransact. Once the Buyer receives the goods, the funds will be released into your account.
How do I request a refund?
  • A refund can only be requested if the goods received are not in good order as per the information available on the lot as provided by the seller.
How long do I have to settle my account?
  • 72 hours
What happens if I need financing for the purchase I made.

How do I reset my password or username?
  • On the Login Page there is an option to reset your password.
  • Username is your email address
How do I change my banking details?
  • Log into your account and change your details under Profile settings that can be found when clicking on the top right ‘person’ icon.
How do I delete my account
  • Please contact us to request your account to be deleted.
Why is my account blocked?
  • FARMSPACE reserves the right to block an account that is in breach of T&C
  • Please contact us on marco@farmspace.co.za to follow up on why your account is blocked.
How long after posting a lot will it appear on the home page?
  • After one of the administrators has moderated your lot and approved it, will it appear on the home page +/- 1 hour.
Can I post more than one lot at a time?
  • You can post as many lots as you wish.
Why was my lot not posted?
  • Please refer to the email sent as to why your lot did not meet the criteria. If you did not receive an email, please contact marco@farmspace.co.za.
What is the minimum/maximum amount of time I can give to my lot?
  • A lot can be set to start immediately after it has been moderated or up to three months in the future.
  • A lot can only be open for 72 hours for bidder to place bids on your lot.
Can I correct details of my lot after posting?
  • Yes, if a lot is not yet active you can edit it yourself in MyMarket under ‘Your Lots’.
  • If the lot is already active a request can be sent to marco@farmspace.co.za with a reason why you would like to make any changes.
What happens if reserve price isn't met.
  • The lot will be marked as “not sold”.
  • The seller will be advised as to the highest offer made by a buyer and will be able to make a counteroffer. If the buyer accepts this offer, the lot will be sold.
  • If not, there is no financial implications for the buyer or seller in this case. The seller can then choose to remove or re-auction the item.
How can I better advertise my lots?

My photos are not loading.
  • Please note that photos larger than 10mb will be restricted.
How will I know if I have the leading bid?
  • See the side panel or look at ‘Buying’ in MyMarket
How will I be able to contacts the seller?
  • You will be able to find the seller’s contact details on the lot when you are logged in.
Bid failing to load.
  • Please refresh your screen, should you still have an issue contact us.
How do I change or delete my bid?
  • All bids made are binding.
  • If you want to increase your bid you can place another bid after the bid you already placed.
How is the winning bid determined?
  • The highest bid will rank first.
  • If two bids of the same value the bid placed first will rank first.
